Some pears had been floating around our kitchen for a while and my mum informed me it was time to make a crumble. Below is the result, a healthy twist on the classic crumble..
3 pears and 1 apple (or whichever fruits you have left over!)
Spoon of coconut sugar
Sprinkle of cinnamon
2 small packets of raisins
For the crumble..
Small bowl of oats
Handful each of chopped almonds, hazelnuts, cashews and cacao nibs
Teaspoon of almond butter
Drizzle of maple syrup
First prepare the fruity base by peeling and coring your pears and apple, then chopping into small chunks. Put in a bowl with the coconut sugar, cinnamon and raisins and mix.
Next, prepare the crumble. Simply combine the ingredients and spoon over the fruity base.
Bake in the oven at 160°C for around half an hour and serve with some dairy-free ice cream and a drizzle of choc shot sauce.
