Since I eat smoothie bowls fairly often (okay everyday), I prefer green ones as they are built from foods like kale, spinach and avocado as opposed to fruits that can be high in sugar.
Handful each of spinach and kale
Quarter of avocado
Few slices of frozen banana
2 medjool dates
Teaspoon of almond butter
Generous dash of almond milk
Optional superfoods: 1/4 teaspoon of spirulina, 1/4 teaspoon of maca, 1/2 teaspoon flax
Simply blend together, pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings.
I’m a big fan of granola and if you’ve read any of my previous blog posts, also lovingearth who have brought out some delicious ‘buckinies’ that taste great sprinkled on top with some blueberries and choc shot sauce.
I also added some cacao nibs, goji berries, bee pollen and chopped almonds. And a generous drizzle of Pip & Nut butter 😉
