It started with some gluten-free brownies..

Made only with goodness – dark chocolate was melted with coconut oil and combined with sweet coconut sugar..

Then some chopped pistachios and raspberries were added to the mix..

The recipe was by Madeleine Shaw.

I did Christmas day the Deliciously Ella way, roasting sprouts and sprinkling with pomegranates and hazelnuts, and drizzling with maple syrup.

Followed by some stuffed mushrooms..

I’ve been experimenting with my diet a lot recently, from veganism to vegetarian, and generally settling at pescatarian.

My Mum had spent hours roasting a turkey and I was faced with the familiar question of: should I eat what feels right in the moment or stick to the rules of a diet?

I chose to go with the flow, have a slice of turkey and enjoy my Christmas dinner.

I’m still finding the diet that works for me and I think that’s okay!

Farmacy

I have a love/hate relationship with this restaurant.

I love that stepping inside feels like stepping into a rainforest.

I hate that you have to queue to get inside, even when its your birthday.

I love their Earth Bowls, especially the Middle East Bowl with its spirulina hummus and sweet potato falafels.

I hate how skinny their sweet potato fries are

But I love dipping them in the goji ketchup.

I hate that I love doing that just because its made of goji berries and not because it tastes any different.

I hate that they charged my friends £14 for an english breakfast

But I love how pretty my House Pancakes looked!

Finally, I really hate what they said to my friend when she asked for some butter for her bread,

“Erm, we’re vegan?!”

But at the same time, I love the fact that they are vegan!
